What’s a repository?
A repository or we also called BitBucket project is the collection of project files and folder that contain different kind of information like code, images, databases etc which is stored in BitBucket cloud and we use it as backup, it also control the version of project, a survive on stack over flow show that million of user use BitBucket for there projects. First of all you have to login to BitBucket account if you have not account then you simply sign in with your google account or create one with BitBucket account.After you have Success full login into Bit Bucket Account then Start to following Steps.
Creating Repository step by step on Bit Bucket:step 1: After successfully setting up Bit Bucket account login to your account. You will see the screen as below.
- step 2: Fill the following text fields.
- Repository Name of your project
- Version Control
- Description of your Project
- Select the Development Language
- Step 3: After clicking new repository option, we will have to initialize some things like this
- Step 4: Made your local directory than in the following directory run git Bash.
- git init for initialization of your local directory after ruining command here .git folder is created
- Link the local folder with remote repository by running. git remote add origin (paste here url of your repository).
- (git pull) command use to download the files from BitBucket repository.
- (git status) command use for looking changes made in project folder and shows the status of changes as untracked, modified, or staged.
- (git add ) use for adding to git repository. stages a change
- (git commit -m "message" ) use for save the changes made in project .
- (git push) command use for uploading the project files
